Family Support Work. Today is the first Sunday of the month, and we have the opportunity to donate gifts of non-perishable food, to be used by the diocesan Family Support Work Outreach Team in Hollington.

Have you a little time to spare to enjoy yourself? We need help for some lovely jobs at the Church. Arranging flowers is a joy and you learn as you go, but can also have some help to get started. It is nice to be able to do big arrangements and have fun too. Or would you be willing to adopt a section of the Remembrance garden, a peaceful and relaxing area much enjoyed by many people. Any offers, suggestions or creative ideas would be most welcome. Please contact Margaret Moss (01424 751407)

Book Club. Sue Stephenson announces that there will be a Book Club meeting in September, though the date and venue are yet to be arranged. The book to be shared is Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers.

F3. On Thursday 30 September at 7.30 pm in the Parish Hall F3 women's group celebrates its first birthday with a visit from Fiona Castle. Fiona will be sharing her life story with celebrity husband Roy Castle and also her experiences since his death. We will be sharing birthday cake and invite all women whatever age. This is a free event.

Midweek Study. The Bible Study group begins again this Wednesday (8 September) at 7.30pm, with a five week York course called 'Faith in the Fire'. It will be led by Jeremy and Dawn Archer, at Gorse Cottage, Moor Lane.

Harvest Lunch. Tickets are now available for the 2-course Roast Lunch on Sunday 26 September, at 12.30 pm in the Parish Hall. The cost is £5 (£2.50 for under-16s). Non-alcoholic drinks are included – bring your own wine, etc. Get your tickets from Sue Stephenson, Marian Newman, or from Archers.

Sunday Notices. Please give notices for the next two Sundays to Bryn Newman (01424-753381, family.newman@tesco.net).
