Why are we here?
This church has stood for over 800 years as a testimony to the belief that the Christian faith is what makes sense of human life. Countless generations have worshipped here who have believed that Jesus Christ is alive and with us always. Their prayers have become a part of its fabric as much as their bones have become a part of the ground of the churchyard. It is difficult to pass its doors without asking the question: Isn’t there more to life than what we can achieve in the few short years we get on earth?
The life and worship of the church answers that question with a resounding YES. Its good news is that we are not here just to be born, to live, and to die. We are here to discover that we have a creator, who has made us to love him and to know that he loves us. We are here to follow one who has shown his love for us by becoming one of us, and who by cross and resurrection has conquered the power of death. We are here to discover that beyond this life God has prepared a home for us, to be with him for ever.
You are welcome to join us in the exciting discovery of all that this means.
