Study Groups
A weekly study group (Open Home, Open Bible) meets in a private house on some weekday evenings. It follows a variety of courses of study into the Bible and other aspects of Christian faith and life. Most courses last four to eight weeks after which there is a break, or a social gathering. This is a very relaxed group which is always happy to welcome new members.

The Lent course this year will be a study of some themes from the Gospel of John, using a course entitled Lentwise: Spiritual Essentials for Real Life by Paula Gooder. The five sessions will be on Tuesday evenings from 23 February to 23 March, beginning in the Vicarage at 7.30 pm and ending by 9.00 pm. All are welcome. Bring a Bible and a notebook and pencil.
If our lives with God are a journey, what are the travel essentials we should not be without? LentWise explores five different spiritual essentials for our journey of faith, using passages from John's Gospel:
• Compass: finding direction
• Nourishment: keeping going
• Light: gaining wisdom
• Shelter: finding security
• Water: enjoying refreshment
Each session focuses on one spiritual essential and includes:
• a passage from John's Gospel
• personal stories
• prayer exercises
• ideas for group activity and discussions
• resources for worship together
